The Indonesia Egg Price Index is calculated using standard methodology aligned with international practices.

Simple Average
Calculated from the arithmetic mean of all available province prices each day. Formula: Σ(province prices) / number of provinces.
Example: If Jakarta Rp 25,000, West Java Rp 24,000, Central Java Rp 23,000, then average = (25,000 + 24,000 + 23,000) / 3 = Rp 24,000/kg
Base Period Index
Uses the base period as reference (=100), following BPS and FAO standards. Formula: (Current Price / Base Period Price) × 100.
Example: If base period price is Rp 24,500/kg and today's price is Rp 25,725/kg, then index = (25,725 / 24,500) × 100 = 105.0 (up 5% from base period)
Regional Index
Average prices per region (Jabar-DKI, Central Java, East Java, Outside Java) compared against the national composite.
Example: If Jabar-DKI base price is Rp 25,000/kg and today's price is Rp 26,250/kg, then Jabar-DKI index = (26,250 / 25,000) × 100 = 105.0
